October round-up

We've had a spooktacular October here at Grace Dieu Manor Park Nursery and Charles Booth Pre-School.

The Halloween activities began by making potions and spells by mixing creepy spiders, pumpkins and skulls.

We had a wonderful day for our Halloween day at Broom Leys Farm! The children enjoyed a tractor ride before feeding the animals and wandering around the corn maze.

We encouraged the children to dress up the week of Halloween, all of the children looked fabulous in their costumes.

We had the wonderful Ellie from Ray of Stars join us again for another wonderful workshop, this time it was Halloween drama! Our Upper Pre-Schoolers had a wonderful time.

We celebrated Diwali by creating Diwali Rangoli patterns!

We have been having lots of fun with paint, water and discovering autumn in our tuff tray and treasure baskets.

Our favourite stories this month have been Room on the Broom and Spider Sandwiches.

As always we have sang lots of songs and talked about our play and what interested us.

We have been over to the sports hall for PE and enjoyed playing with the footballs and balancing them on the cones to make pretend ice creams! The children thought of lots of flavours to make.

We had a great time free flow playing and doing lots of scissor control activities!

We're looking forward to lots more learning and play next month.
