Celebrating Six Wonderful Years of Charles Booth Pre-School

This year marks a very special milestone for Charles Booth Pre-School as we celebrate six wonderful years of caring for children and supporting families within our community.

When I look back over the past six years, I feel an overwhelming sense of pride. It has been a journey filled with excitement, uncertainty, hard work and countless moments that have reminded me why I chose a career in early years education.

Starting Charles Booth Pre-School was a leap of faith. I had a vision of creating a warm, nurturing environment where every child would feel safe, valued and excited to learn. I wanted to build a setting where children could thrive through play, develop confidence and curiosity, and create happy memories that would stay with them long after they left us.

Like any new venture, there have been challenges along the way. There have been moments of uncertainty, difficult decisions, and the ever-changing demands that come with running an early years setting. There were times I questioned myself, worried about finances, staffing and ensuring we continued to provide the very best care for every child. Looking back now, those challenges have made me stronger, more resilient and even more determined to provide an exceptional environment for our children and families.

One of the greatest privileges of the last six years has been watching so many children grow in confidence, develop new skills and take their first steps on their educational journey. From making new friendships and exploring Forest School to enjoying football, music, dance and creative activities, every smile, milestone and achievement reminds us why we do what we do.

The relationships we have built mean everything to me. Families have trusted us with what is most precious to them, their children, and I never take that responsibility for granted. It has been an honour to share in so many special moments, celebrating achievements, supporting children through challenges and watching them flourish before moving on to their next adventure.

I am equally grateful to our incredible team. Their kindness, dedication and passion are at the heart of everything we do. Charles Booth Pre-School would not be the nurturing, welcoming place it is today without each and every one of them. They bring energy, creativity and genuine care to every day, and I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together.

Personally, this journey has shaped me in more ways than I ever imagined. I have learned that leadership is not about having all the answers, but about listening, learning, supporting others and continuing to grow alongside them. It has taught me resilience, patience and the importance of surrounding yourself with people who share your vision and values.

While I am incredibly proud of the last six years, I truly believe this is only the beginning. We remain committed to providing outstanding early years experiences, investing in our wonderful staff, creating exciting opportunities for children and ensuring every family who joins us feels welcomed, valued and supported.

To every child who has laughed, learned and played with us, every family who has trusted us, and every member of staff who has been part of our journey, thank you.

Your support has helped shape Charles Booth Pre-School into the special place it is today.
